This Acceptable Use Policy outlines what is and isn't allowed on Shelfkit. We want to create a safe and trustworthy marketplace for both sellers and buyers.
By using Shelfkit, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in warnings, listing removal, or account termination.
2. Prohibited Items
The following items may not be listed or sold on Shelfkit:
Illegal Items
- Illegal drugs, narcotics, and controlled substances
- Drug paraphernalia
- Items that are illegal to sell in your jurisdiction
- Stolen goods or items with removed serial numbers
Weapons
- Firearms and ammunition
- Explosives and fireworks
- Knives classified as weapons (offensive weapons)
- Replica or imitation firearms
Counterfeit & Infringing Items
- Counterfeit goods or knock-offs
- Items that infringe on trademarks or copyrights
- Unauthorized replicas of branded products
- Pirated media or software
Hazardous Materials
- Toxic or poisonous substances
- Radioactive materials
- Pesticides and herbicides (unless properly licensed)
- Recalled products
Other Prohibited Items
- Human parts or remains
- Endangered species or products derived from them
- Tobacco products and vaping devices
- Prescription medications
- Gambling devices and lottery tickets
3. Adult Content
Adult content is permitted on Shelfkit, but with the following conditions:
- Age verification: Stores selling adult content are responsible for implementing appropriate age verification measures
- Clear labeling: Adult products must be clearly labeled as such
- Legal compliance: All adult content must comply with applicable laws in both seller and buyer jurisdictions
- No illegal content: Content involving minors, non-consent, or other illegal activities is strictly prohibited
4. Prohibited Behaviors
The following behaviors are not permitted on Shelfkit:
Fraudulent Activity
- Misrepresenting products or their condition
- Fake reviews or ratings manipulation
- Price gouging during emergencies
- Pyramid schemes or MLM recruitment
Harassment & Abuse
- Harassment of customers or other sellers
- Hate speech or discrimination
- Threats or intimidation
- Doxxing or sharing private information
Spam & Manipulation
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Keyword stuffing or misleading tags
- Excessive messaging or solicitation
- Manipulating search results
5. Reporting Violations
If you encounter a listing or user that violates this policy, please report it to us:

Please include:
- The store or product URL
- A description of the violation
- Any relevant screenshots or evidence
6. Enforcement
We take violations of this policy seriously. Depending on the severity, we may:
- Issue a warning
- Remove the offending listing(s)
- Temporarily suspend your account
- Permanently terminate your account
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement
7. Appeals
If you believe your listing was removed or your account was suspended in error, you may appeal by contacting us at appeals@shelfkit.net within 14 days.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to all sellers via email.
